Hawaiian Dart Frog salt and pepper set SKU: T21 MODEL: T21 Metallic bands of green or blue surrounded by black or brown, characterize the Hawaiian Dart Frog, although this is one of the most varied species in the dart frog family. Originally found only in South and Central America, they were introduced to areas of Hawaii for mosquito control in the 1930's, hence the name. The female lays about 6 eggs in a pool of water. Once the eggs hatch into tadpoles, the male carries them on his back to a lake or stream for further development to maturity.
